April 7, 2020 — Raleigh, NC — Trophy Brewing Company is teaming up with Sysco, Bridge the Gap MIssion, and Digital Minerva for “Trophy Helps,” a food bank resource to support restaurant workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

The food bank will be open at Trophy Brewing Co at 656 Maywood Ave, on the Distribution pick up side of the building starting Monday, April 6th, during the hours of 1-5pm, Monday-Saturday. A variety of non-perishable items donated by Sysco will be available and change every week. Participants are asked to show their most recent pay stub to confirm eligibility. Responsible sanitation and social distancing measures will be followed at all times.

“Trophy Helps is intended to provide immediate support to our friends and neighbours in the restaurant / hospitality industry. The restaurant industry has been hit particularly hard as our country practices necessary social distancing and is adjusting to a new “normal”. Hundreds of industry workers in our area found themselves without income with little or no warning. Something as simple as groceries can go a long way. We are excited to find such generous partners in Sysco Foods, Bridge the Gap Mission, and Digital Minerva,” said Chris Powers, Co Owner of Trophy Brewing Company.

Restaurant workers can learn more at www.trophyhelps.com . The website was created and is being hosted and maintained by Digital Minerva, a Harrisonburg, VA agency who donated their services to the program. The food bank will only be available to restaurant industry workers at this time. But, participation is not limited to Raleigh residents and all restaurant / Hospitality workers are welcome. If you are travelling from a long distance, please call the tap room at (919) 803-1133 to confirm availability before making the trip. The boxes will continue to change and contain different items each time they are available and the program will last as long as it can safely continue to operate and items are available.

You can learn more about how you can help at www.trophyhelps.com . Trophy Brewing’s tap room will remain open to the general public for to-go beer and merchandise purchases.
